HP acquisisce Atos Origin Middle East Group per ampliare la propria attività nell’ambito del systems integration

Ginevra 22 Ottobre 2007- HP ha annunciato oggi la firma di un accordo definitivo per l’acquisizione di Atos Origin Middle East Group, noto anche con il nome di “AOME”(1), uno dei systems integrator leader in Medio Oriente, per ampliare la propria capacità operativa di consulenza e di integrazione nella regione.

AOME, un gruppo indipendente di aziende con sede centrale in Bahrain, impiega più di 450 persone principalmente nei suoi uffici in Arabia Saudita, Bahrain, Emirati Arabi, Qatar e Libia, ed è il realizzatore principale dei progetti SAP nella regione.

“Il Medio Oriente è uno dei nostri mercati in maggiore espansione e tale acquisizione incrementa la nostra capacità di soddisfare al meglio le esigenze dei nostri clienti,” ha detto Ken Willett, vice president e amministratore delegato HP per il Medio Oriente, l’area mediterranea e l’Africa. “Inoltre la comprovata capacità di AOME di progettare, attivare e supportare sistemi di pianificazione delle risorse di imprese di grandi dimensioni, basati sulla tecnologia SAP, ci aiuterà a trarre profitti da questo mercato in rapida espansione.“

Da tale acquisizione HP prevede di ricavare tre vantaggi chiave strategici: accrescimento delle attività SAP della società nel Medio Oriente; rafforzamento della competenza di HP in due segmenti chiave del mercato – il settore pubblico e quello gas-petrolifero – e infine l’estensione della presenza geografica di HP alla Libia e al Qatar.

L’acquisizione è soggetta ad alcune condizioni di chiusura ordinarie. L’operazione sarà completata presumibilmente entro novembre.
