AUCKLAND, New Zealand, August 16, 2007 - Nutech IT Supplies, New Zealand’s premier distributor of imaging products & IT materials, has signed a formal distribution deal with Hewlett-Packard New Zealand (HPNZ). The agreement solidifies their existing relationship and ensures the seamless distribution of quality imaging and printing products to key resellers across New Zealand.

Under the agreement Nutech will supply and distribute HP ink, toner and paper products to its customers, which include Paper Plus, Whitcoulls, Office Products Depot and smaller independent stores. Nutech has nationwide reach through its Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch sales and distribution centres.

Nutech, a subsidiary of Croxley Stationery, has been selling HP products for several years, but the move to become an authorised distributor was driven by the obvious business benefits that would result.

“This is a very significant partnership for Nutech,” says Nigel Willard, Sales and Marketing Manager for Nutech. “Not only does it broaden the scope of business opportunity for our company by expanding our product offering, but it also aligns with Nutech’s business growth strategy going forward.”

“We’re thrilled to have Nutech on board,” says Christoph Schell, Vice President and General Manager of Imaging and Printing Group, for HP South Pacific. “Our relationship with Nutech complements our existing partnerships, and ensures we are represented in the office products space.”

Schell views the partnership as a natural progression of the companies’ existing relationship. “This is a logical coupling for the two businesses,” he says. “HP is New Zealand’s most trusted computer brand, while Nutech is one of New Zealand’s largest office products wholesalers.”
