There’s one thing true about life at work, at home or about: Connections are everything. Whether you need to connect to information, entertainment or other people, HP has what you need to make the connections that count – and from more places.

New HP mobility products, solutions and services help to bridge the gap between work time, play time and go time as you connect to what’s important to you quickly, easily and more reliably.

Connect at the speed of business

Your business demands speed, convenience and more security to help keep you productive and competitive. HP delivers all that and more with a range of new mobile products, solutions and services to make the right connections – from handhelds and ultra light notebooks to high-performance mobile workstations. End-User Workplace Solutions for the enterprise can also help your workforce connect, communicate and collaborate easier to get vital work done faster from different locations.

Connect with ease. Enhance productivity on the go by leveraging HP Broadband Wireless technologies.(2), (3)  With video and web conferencing, video-enhanced instant messaging and VoIP,(4)  it’s also easier to make the connections you need. With new HP QuickLook, available on all new HP business notebook PCs running Windows Vista, (1) you can access your e-mail, calendar, task and contact information from off, standby or hibernation modes with a single button in as little as ten seconds. (5)

Get more security and reliability inside and out. Experience the added security features of Intel® Centrino® Pro processor technology, featuring the new Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo(6) Processors. HP ProtectTools offers a portfolio of security technologies and features for HP client solutions to protect devices, data and networks. For example, if your notebook or hard drive is ever lost or stolen, Drive Encryption for HP ProtectTools helps to safeguard your information.

In fact, Full Volume Encryption is now included as a standard feature on most HP business notebooks. This feature encrypts the hard drive to help prevent unauthorized access to the operating system, files, applications and data. Further, HP 3D DriveGuard quickly notifies system software of any sudden movement and helps protect data by parking the hard drive prior to a shock event, bump or drop.

These drive protections are part of HP Professional Innovations, which make working on the go easier, more secure and more reliable. Other innovations include HP DuraFinish, which makes your keyboard more resistant to wear, and HP DuraKeys to help protect the keys from your busy fingertips. In fact, independent tests show HP DuraKeys to be 50 times more resistant to wear than those on competitive notebooks.(7)

Take a new twist on mobility

HP Compaq 2710p Business Notebook PC

The new HP Compaq 2710p Business Notebook PC is all about productivity, with a twist. As our most adaptable notebook system, it converts from an ultra-light notebook to an ultra-slim tablet with a simple twist of the screen.

Dual-microphone array, an optional integrated camera and the latest wireless technologies(2), (3) make it perfect for video and web conferencing, video-enhanced instant messaging and VoIP.(4)  (Available July 2007.)

Speak your mind for hours

HP iPAQ Voice Messenger

The HP iPAQ Voice Messenger(8)  is small in size, yet big on functionality. Great for business professionals in any size company, it combines the mobility of a cell phone,(9) the capability of a handheld organizer, an e-mail device and the power of an office phone system. In addition, you can increase productivity and save money by using a single device for both the office and the road with Mobile IP Telephony Services.

Simplify network and device management

The HP ProCurve Networking Adaptive EDGE Architecture™ provides a unified, centrally managed solution for more secure, mobile, multi-service networks. Fast client roaming, increased resiliency and high availability work together to help mobile enterprise workers access appropriate information and remain productive.

For small and midsized businesses, new HP ProCurve 1400 and 1700 switches make network setup easier, simplify management and come with a lifetime warranty.

To reduce the support burden on IT staff and help lower mobility costs, take advantage of the new HP Enterprise Mobility Suite, mobile device management software for HP iPAQ devices running Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6.0.

With this solution, many setup and management tasks can be done more easily and over the air, including configuration, application management, diagnostics and repair. To help keep sensitive data protected, you can also lock devices and wipe device memory remotely.

Further, new offerings within HP’s End User Workplace Solutions help maximize workforce productivity. For example, new virtual collaboration solutions help employees stay connected from more places while at work, at home, or on the go.
