Tim Lovejoy and HP want to see your filmmaking skills. And when they see the best 3-minute entry the lucky winner gets a 6-week placement at Channelbee, Tim’s new Internet Web Channel, which is due to launch this summer. You’ll be capturing all the behind-the-scenes excitement using the latest HP kit to edit weekly episodes.

The winner also gets an HP media PC for keeps, intensive Avid training and £300 a week. To enter, just go online and upload a cracking piece of film showcasing your TV-making ability.

3minutes2launch

HP is partnering with Channelbee.com Non-HP site – the new Internet TV channel from Tim Lovejoy and 19 Entertainment - and Dailymotion, the world’s largest independent video sharing website. Together, they have launched 3minutes2launch – a nationwide competition offering one young filmmaker the opportunity to be a part of the Channelbee.com production team.

The winner will join the Channelbee.com team for a minimum of six weeks and will be responsible for producing a fly-on-the-wall documentary following the early days of Channelbee.com. They will also get the opportunity to work with the production team to create other Channelbee.com programmes.

Footage will be edited and produced using the latest HP kit, including HP TouchSmarts, HP Notebooks and HP Workstations. It will be uploaded and broadcast weekly on Channelbee.com to viewers across the globe.

To enter, aspiring filmmakers need to produce a short film (no longer than 3 minutes) that demonstrates the type of programme that would make them tune in to Channelbee.com. To encourage personal expression, entrants have the freedom and flexibility to produce whatever content they like, as long as their film inspires, informs and entertains.

All entries will be uploaded to, and hosted by, www.dailymotion.com Non-HP site. Recently launched in the UK, Dailymotion.com is well known internationally for its high quality independent video content. Its most creative users – called Motionmakers – can reach a global audience of 35 million monthly visitors through its homepage and dedicated channel programming. Earlier this year, it also became the first video sharing platform to offer HD video uploads and unlimited clip duration.

Channelbee.com uses HP products to develop, edit, produce and manage content. The company is set to deliver broadcast-standard content worldwide, over the Internet.

The ultimate filmmaker’s kit

HP is serious about developing your film making talent. So serious, in fact, that we are giving the winner a new HP Pavilion Elite m9255.uk PC for keeps. This high-spec, cutting edge package is the ultimate film-makers assistant, with the power and display you need to realise every cinematic vision.

With the m9255.uk PC, you're ready to cut, edit and store your entire portfolio of movies, music and photos securely in one place. Plus you get a digital/analogue TV tuner, infrared remote control and all the necessary AV inputs up-front.

Few filmmakers enter the industry so well-equipped.

Be original, be creative

Your film must be no longer than 3 minutes and, more importantly, it must be the sort of thing that would make you tune into Channelbee.com. The winning entry will be chosen on originality and creativity (not just technical ability). All entries must be uploaded by 22nd June 2008.

Once your film is ready, you need to visit www.3minutes2launch.com Non-HP site to register and upload your film. Your film will be viewed and voted for online via Dailymotion.com (so get your mates to vote for yours). HP and Channelbee.com will then judge the top 20 most voted-for films.

So get filming!

Enter now, go to www.3minutes2launch.com Non-HP site. All entries must be uploaded by the 22nd June 2008.
