HP TOGETHER WITH PARTNERS TO INTRODUCE NEXT GENERATION BANKING TO IMPROVE AUTOMATION AND ENHANCE CUSTOMER SERVIVE QUALITY

Hanoi, 19 April 2005 - HP Vietnam today officially holds the conference titled “Next Generation Banking Solution”, aiming at improving the automation for the banking – financial industries so that the customer service quality can be enhanced. With these new solutions, HP together with world-class partners will help develop the financial services industry, connect people and service with radical simplicity, and ensure true end-to-end manageability for enterprises in the banking, finance, securities and insurance companies. The conference may attract over 100 key participants.

The complete structure says that financial banking associations must build up their complete automation structure, including: Back – Office, handling the transactional load and collect data for analysis; Front – Office, using this data to generate more revenue; and to support the incremental business; and Mid – Office, the bridge to make sure that the whole operation is scalable, secure and that risk is managed.

“Banking plays a very important role in facilitating trading and manufacturing, by providing the source of leveraged operational capital and managing the commercial risk of growing enterprises. Thus, the productivity enhancement of banks means a development in the economy. Many banks have promoted and completed the first phase of automation and rather successfully. This is now the time to think about the mid-office and extrapolating to the front-office, when considering the next phase of automation and deployment to the provincial branches. Many banks have just finished their core banking automation. As a pioneer in open architectures, HP can help banks build their NGFO that will enable them to be more competitive and rapidly respond to meet the needs of their customers. This is also the HP’s Adaptive Enterprise vision that HP is promoting globally”, said Ms Tran Thi Minh Thuan, HP Vietnam Managing Director.
